Dear Wine-Loving Friend
At Monarchia Winery in Eger, our team is dedicated to sharing the secrets of winemaking with its visitors by offering a unique experience of personally participating in the various tasks and challenges a winery faces.
From vine to wine, there is a complex series of stages of decisions and hard work involved in the meticulous process of transforming grapes into this noble drink. We now provide the opportunity for you to experience the secrets of winemaking – hands-on, up close and personal! We invite you to take part in the first phase of this process – personally pick the grapes of Monarchia Winery’s own vineyards, while enjoying an authentic, traditional harvest. You are also invited and encouraged to compete with teams of your friends and colleagues, with all the necessary equipment, of course, supplied by our winery. Ready for a fun-filled outdoor adventure in a picturesque setting? Not afraid to get your hands soiled? All you need to bring is your enthusiasm, passion for wine, and your two hard-working hands. After the day’s work, a well-deserved and delicious feast will be served including a hearty stew cooked in the traditional cauldron with red wine as well as homemade strudels for dessert. Harvesters who have done an outstanding job will receive a certificate of merit and a gift at the ensuing award ceremony and everyone will get to enjoy our wine.
We look forward to welcoming all wine-lovers interested in the secrets of winemaking and eager to experience the tasks involved from harvest to bottling!
